Background

To combat the gender discrimination and VAW in the north-western regions of Bangladesh, Pollisree has been implementing the project aiming to reduce the gender gap, gender discrimination and violence against women also create enabling environment for women empowerment. Developing women leadership and linking with the local power structures are the approach and strategies of the project to challenge gender discrimination, gaps, lack of access and control over resources, lack of education at family and societal level.

Specific objective are:

•	To determine where the project is going
•	To know exactly where it stands
•	To determine where it wants to go over next couple of years
•	To find the way of getting there

Tasks

The study analyzed following issues of the project:

•	Evaluate the effectiveness of the project and its impact on EVAW.
•	Evaluate whether the project has achieved its objectives.
•	Analyze sustainability, adaptability, institutional sustainability of different models and multiplier effects.
•	Assess the appropriateness of various components and interventions of the project, innovations, adaptive capacity with emerging need learned during the implementation, strength and weaknesses in implementation modality.
•	Analyze the project activities monitoring system, its appropriateness, efficiency, relevancy and consistency and its impact on the project
•	Document learning of the project, shortfalls and recommend ways to build on this constructively for future expansion of the project.
