Background The project Participatory Market System Development (PMSD), Inclusive Value Chain Development (IVCD) and Fair Economic Development (FED) have incorporated the lessons learned and innovations generated from over 20 years' experience of Practical Action. Practical Action works with farmers to increase their capacity for sustainable agriculture and market access; provides access to technical knowledge and extension services and finally reduces their vulnerability and increases their resilience in disaster prone areas. The overall Goal of the project is to reduce rural poverty and enhance food and nutrition security of rural marginalized producers in the project areas through application of Participatory Market System Development (PMSD) approach.
