HEKS is going to commence a project for Dalits and Adibashis in Northern districts of Bangladesh; that will follow Market Development or Value Chain Approach (VCA). The project for Dalits and Adibashis following VCA is the first of its kind. HEKS has been implementing projects through its four (04) Partner NGOs who are currently working to establish rights of Dalits and Adibashis. As the upcoming project will be a piloting on how these underprivileged segments can be mainstreamed with different Value Chains, HEKS realized that its PNGOs should be educated on the approach so that they can contribute and perform better.

GMark Consulting Limited was thus assigned to facilitate a three days’ training program on "Value Chain Approach". The key training issues were Value Chain, how it works, outcomes, value chain actors, value chain analysis, Business Development Services (BDS), facilitation and planning interventions.
